Family and friends remember 18-year-old killed in Tiverton crash
Family and friends are coming to grips with the loss of a Tiverton teen gone too soon.
19-year-old Alaysia Arruda, the niece of Barreto, described him as someone who was always so kind and looking out for his family and friends.
“He could easily be described as a gentle giant who was full of love and laughter.”
Alaysia and other family and friends were still in shock over the sudden and tragic death.
“At this time, all I can ask is for prayers for our family to be able to get through this.”
Alaysia created a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses. The fundraiser had received just under $800 as of this writing.
Barreto had tragically lost his mother in 2018. He also had a love of autos, joining Team Diablo, a group of car enthusiasts that hosts meetups, cruises, car shows, charity fundraisers, and events throughout New England.
Funeral arrangements have yet to be announced.
