Fall River’s water taxi is back for 2026!

Fall River’s water taxi service, launched in 2024 by Borden Light Marina in collaboration with the city and its Office of Community Development, offers a scenic way to explore the Taunton River waterfront.

The service began as a pilot program funded by leftover American Rescue Plan Act funds, aiming to boost tourism and support local businesses.

The taxi operates from Memorial Day through Labor Day, running Thursday/Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday from noon to 8:00 p.m., with stops at popular locations: The Tipsy Seagull (on the hour), Bicentennial Park (15 minutes past the hour), Senator Thomas Norton City Pier (on the half hour), Battleship Cove (40 minutes past the hour) and Pier 52 (50 minutes past the hour).

Tickets cost $3 per ride per person and can be purchased onboard with cash or credit, with no round-trip option—riders hop on and off as desired.
