A popular pool hall in Fall River that temporarily closed their doors has announced a re-opening date at their new location.

In a social media post in October, Straight Shooters stated that they were moving from 288 Plymouth Avenue to The Crescent Mill located at 30 Front Street, on the corner of Plymouth Avenue and Pleasant Street.

“We are BEYOND excited for what the future holds for us on our multilevel, air conditioned, completely renovated and remodeled building! That being said, Straight Shooters will be closed until the new location’s construction is completed.”

They announced today that they will be re-opening on Friday.

“We are planning our Soft Opening for tomorrow Friday June 16th!! We will officially be open to the public as of tomorrow morning 10am, full hours til 2am!! Full Bar, Full Menu, Full everything! We are BEYOND excited to get back to business, and will plan a Grand Opening Party for next Friday, where everyone will be invited to celebrate this new chapter!”

According to an October 2021 Fall River Zoning Board of Appeals meeting, Bravo Development LLC is turning the former home of Straight Shooters into an indoor storage facility after being granted a waiving of zoning requirements in a medical district pending a review of the property when work is completed.

The 190,000-square-foot facility is part of a self-storage chain.

Businesses have gradually been rolling out of the mill.

Lazer Gate began packing up from the mill at the end of March of 2022 and it is unclear when the business will open back up elsewhere.

Inside The Park Batting Cages moved to New Bedford and opened there in July.

Trader Jan’s has moved to Dartmouth.

Coastal Career Academy and Professional Image Mens Fine Clothing are at 187 Plymouth Avenue.

AMP Academy is on Quequechan Street.

Spectrum Tile & Carpet has moved to William S. Canning Blvd.

Carter’s Clothing and Footwear is still open at 288 Plymouth Avenue.
