Fall River’s Patti’s Pierogis reopening for takeout for a limited time
A local favorite who had closed earlier this year to make way for a new restaurant is returning for a limited time.
Patti’s Pierogis at 1019 South Main Street announced Thursday on social media that they are returning for takeout only while the sale is being finalized.
“We are pleased to announce that we are reopening for a limited period to cater to your Easter holiday feast with takeout and essential services. We are open today and ready to assist you. Our establishment will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Wednesday through Saturday, we will be open from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We are now accepting orders for Easter. Our menu features potato and cheese pierogi, cabbage kraut and pork pierogi, Kielbasa, Golumbki, Kapusta soup, and loaves of rye bread. For further information, please call 508-679-4001.”
While owner Patti Geary has earned a well-deserved retirement, the announcement is great news for many of her loyal customers.
The spot known for its tasty polish food has seen the likes of Guy Fieri from his popular Food Network show “Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives” and even movie royalty such as actor Bill Murray and producer/writer/director Peter Farrelly.
Tan Nguyen went in front of the Fall River Licensing Board late last year representing TTC Entertainment LLC to transfer the Alcohol Common Victualler license which was approved and finalized.
The building is still expected to become a pho and ramen establishment. The group states that there is nothing like it in the area and they will serve different flavors of the cuisine.
