Fall River Forever Paws Pet of the Week India is a very special girl that is going to need a very special person.

India’s been through a lot in her short life. She was surrendered to Forever Paws for not getting along with the child in the home. Since she’s been with them, she’s shown an overwhelming desire to be loved on, but she doesn’t quite know how to handle it. She’ll chirp and chatter and rub against your legs but, the thing is…she is terrified of hands.

Make of that what you will.

She’s fine if you have gloves on. She’s fine if you have your sleeves pulled down over your hands. She’s fine as long as she can’t see your bare hands. Once she does, it’s game over and she goes into defense mode.

According to FP, she’s getting better. A LOT better. She doesn’t lash out quite as much. Her fear is lessening. She’s learning to trust. It’s a slow and steady process, but FP is hoping they can find someone for her that will get her the rest of the way there.

The other thing about India…she LOVES to play! Wand toys, laser pointers, mice toys, you name it and she’ll play with it. She’s only a year old so she goes silly kitten mode when it’s playtime.

India will need to be the only animal in the home. Forever Paws also won’t place her with children for obvious reasons. She’s seeking an adult only home where she can be the center of attention and have plenty of time to play!
