Fall River’s “Forever Paws” seeks forever home for love bug “Brooklyn,”
“18 weeks…129 days…almost 5 months…
That is how long 2-year-old Brooklyn has been waiting to find a home. She was surrendered to the shelter back in December because her family was moving and they could not take her with them.
She has been waiting ever since. We have no idea why. She is AMAZING.
Brooklyn is a 55-pound love bug who adores people, loves to go for walks, play with toys, and loves getting her belly rubbed. She is medium to high energy, and can pull a little on the leash at first but settles nicely. She loves everyone she meets, has no qualms about jumping in the car and going for rides and would really make someone a great companion.
At this point in time, Brooklyn needs to be the only dog in the home, but we are working on that with her. She can be reactive to other dogs-especially larger female dogs. As far as cats go, she is a little apprehensive of them and will do her best to ignore or avoid them, however, if the cat persists she can become a little too interested in them-so it would depend on the cat in the home and the ability to keep them separate if needed.
Her new family will own their home and have older kids in the house, only because she doesn’t know her own strength, and when excited we wouldn’t want her to knock anyone over by mistake. That being said, please don’t misunderstand-she is not badly behaved, she is just super excited to meet new people and interact with them, so if there are kids in the home we would just like them to be sturdy 🙂
She spends her days between the Director’s office and the play areas outside, all our volunteers love to walk her, but it’s not a home.
Please, if you or anyone you know is thinking about adding a pup to their home, and meet her requirements, please consider Brooklyn. She is a silly, sweet, and smart gal and we all love her very much-however- she deserves a home to call her very own.
PLEASE SHARE BROOKLYN❤
