Meet Fall River Forever Paws Pet of the Week Dimitri!

Dimitri is a young husky full of mischief and energy just waiting for his forever home! He’s only about a year old so he is still very puppy-like in his excitement levels, his amount of energy, and the ridiculousness of his antics. He’s about 45lbs so not too big, not too small – he’s just right!

Dimitri is a pro at making you think he’s not nearly as smart as he actually is. While on the surface it may seem like he’s got the typical husky brain and is distracted 99% of the time, he’s actually paying very close attention to everything. He’s hilariously stubborn and there will definitely be a battle of wills going on with whoever is lucky enough to adopt him. You’ll keep each other on your toes for sure! He likes to pretend that he’s “distracted” but, really, he’s waiting for you to let your guard down so he can take off and do whatever he wants. Thankfully, he’s not super pully on a leash, so he’s easy enough to rein back in…momentarily.

He’s a friendly guy that loves plush toys and likes to walk around with them in his mouth wherever he goes. Being a husky, he’ll need plenty of mental and physical stimulation to keep him from getting bored and destructive. Long walks, puzzle feeders, hikes, things of that nature should keep him plenty satisfied.

At this time, Forever Paws is looking for a home without cats because Dimitri can come on a little bit stronger and be a smidge of an instigator, like any teenage boy. He’s also not the biggest fan of other dogs and would much prefer to rule the roost all on his own. They would prefer a home with breed experience or similar breed experience and kids 12+.
