Fall River woman who taught for over three decades and had her hand in organizations across the city has died
A Fall River woman who left her mark on organizations and institutions throughout the city has died.
According to an obituary, 80-year-old Angela Foley passed away on Sunday.
Angela, who was the daughter of the late Sgt. Timothy P. Foley (FRPD), and Mary (Sullivan) Foley, “dedicated grammar schoolteacher in the Fall River Public Schools for 32 years, serving at the Belisle, Lincoln, Coughlin, and Wixon schools. After retirement, she worked for Citizens for Citizens as a Senior Aide and was an election poll worker.
“She was a member of the Fall River Educators Association where she served as its Vice President and Secretary. She was active in local organizations, including the Irish Heritage Society, the Niagara Neighborhood Association, Corky Row Club, and the Parent Teacher Council at Henry Lord Middle School. She was proud to be a member of the democratic party and most proud of her Irish heritage. Above all, her strong Catholic faith was a source of comfort and carried her through many trials and tribulations in her life.”
Calling Hours for Angela will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 from 4-7pm in the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson Street, Fall River. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 9am from the Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10am in the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption, Spring Street, Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial to follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery, Fall River.
