Fall River woman held on bail after pleading not guilty in double stabbing
A Fall River woman has pled not guilty after multiple people were stabbed in an incident Saturday afternoon in Fall River.
According to police, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Patrol Bureau officers responded to the area of the 800 block of Walnut Street for two persons suffering from stab wounds. Upon arrival, officers located the victims and immediately began rendering medical aid.
The suspect was quickly located and taken into custody. Both the victims and the suspect were transported to trauma centers for treatment of stabbing-related injuries.
Both stabbing victims are in stable condition and recovering.
As a result of the investigation into the stabbing, 32-year-old Rochelle Medeiros has been charged with Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon Causing Serious Bodily Injury.
According to court records, at Tuesday’s arraignment, Medeiros was being held after not posting $10,000 bond/$1,000 cash bail.
Her next scheduled court appearance is a pretrial hearing scheduled for March 12th.
