Fall River UFC fighter Mitch Raposo realized his dream last year, now he is ready to take next step in upcoming fight

A Fall River man’s dream of fighting in the UFC became a reality last year. Now he is looking for the next step. A win.
26-year-old Durfee grad Mitch Raposo states he will be taking on the 16-7 Su Mudaerji at UFC 314 in Miami at the Kaseya Center on Saturday April 12th.
On June 1st, Raposo, who fights out of the Regiment Training Center, made his UFC debut at UFC 302 at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on less than two weeks’ notice.
The 9-2 Raposo, who replaced Nyamjargal Tumendemberel who had to withdraw from the fight, took on fellow flyweight 8-0 Andre Lima.
Lima took the split decision over Raposo (30-27, 28-29, 30-27) with damaging legs kicks through all three rounds, however, Lima also grabbed the fence, poked Raposo’s eye and was fined 30% of his purse by missing weight by 4 pounds.
Mudaerji is coming off of a three-fight losing streak leaving both fighters hungry for a win.
The early prelims for UFC 314 start at 6:15 p.m. and can be seen on UFC Fight Pass. The regular prelims start at 8:00 p.m. and will be available on ESPN, ESPN+, and ESPNEWS. The main card starts at 10:00 p.m. and can be viewed on ESPN+.
