Fall River total confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 hits 62
Fall River has 62 total COVID-19 cases.
According to Mayor Paul Coogan, there are 62 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Fall River, up 5 from Friday. 659 confirmed cases in Bristol County.
“Increase has slowed a little because we are all doing what we are supposed to. Stay smart and stay healthy.”
The Fall River Health Department is in contact with the individuals who have tested positive as well as their contacts. These individuals are in isolation and quarantine.
Mayor Coogan’s Office continues to encourage residents to practice social distancing. This means keeping a distance of 6 feet between individuals. Continue to wash your hands on a regular basis, clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, and stay home as much as possible, especially when you are sick. These measures will help to limit the spread of COVID-19.
City Information:
Library: While the Library remains closed until May 4th the return receptacles are also closed. Please hold onto any items you have. There will be no fines associated with your library items during this period of closure.
Bill pay: We urge residents to pay bills using out online bill paying systems. Residents can also mail bills or utilize the drop box on the Third Street entrance of Government Center.
The City of Fall River would also like to announce that Government Center, the Public Libraries, Senior Centers and Schools will remain closed until May 4th.
The City is also looking for volunteers when and if they are needed. If you know of any medical professionals who are interested in volunteering, individuals can sign up with MA Responds via The Health Professionals Volunteer Website.
