Fall River to Block Island and Newport Hi-Speed Ferry service is returning this year.
Fall River to Block Island and Newport Hi-Speed Ferry service is returning this year.
The Hi-Speed ferry services to both Block Island and Newport run out of the terminal located at the State Pier, near Battleship Cove at 1 Water Street.
Sailing time to Newport is a 60 minute trip one way. Sailing time to Block Island is 2 hours and 15 minutes one way.
The trips are scheduled to begin on June 23rd and conclude for the year on September 3rd.
Ferry service for both locations will operate 7 days a week and depart from Fall River at 8:30 a.m. The Block Island departure will be at 5:10 p.m. while the Newport departure will be at 6:30 p.m.
Motor Vehicle transport is not offered, but bicycles are accepted however.
Passenger tickets can be purchased online or at the ticket booth on the date of travel as space allows. Due to limited seating, it is recommended that you purchase tickets online in advance especially for weekend travel.
