A popular family-run Italian restaurant and pizza spot in Fall River has announced that they are closing.

Fiorentina Italian Kitchen, located at 1833 North Main Street, made the announcement on social media.

“With heavy hearts, we want to announce that Fiorentina Italian Kitchen will be winding down our operations.

“The restaurant business is REALLY hard.

“We tried our best to weather the economic environment, but unfortunately it has become untenable for us to continue on.

“We want to thank all our loyal customers over the last few years! Without your support we would not have been able to last this long.❤️

“We also want to give a VERY SPECIAL thank you to our amazing staff.

“You guys have been the heart and soul behind Fiorentina, and we’ll always love and appreciate every single one of you.

“We will do our best to help our employees transition into new employment, and we have some EXCELLENT people is anyone is looking.

“We’ve made many fond memories over the last few years, learned many lessons, and hopefully made a small difference in the lives of some in our community.”

The spot is known for “more than just pizza,” offering a full range of classic and creative Italian American dishes in a casual atmosphere suitable for dine-in, takeout, or delivery. Some of their more popular offerings are not even Italian such as their steak tips.

An exact closing date was not announced.
