Fall River School Committee, Public Schools, recognize students for high exam scores

According to Fall River Public Schools, during Monday night’s regular meeting of the Fall River School Committee, 18 Fall River Public Schools students were honored by the committee. The students all received the highest possible scaled score on their 2023 Spring Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) Exam.

Two students, Katerina Rumsey and Rory Edwards, received perfect scores on their Math AND English Language Arts (ELA) portions of the exam.

Honored on Monday for receiving a score of 560 were:

Micah Ross – Science MCAS – B.M.C. Durfee High School

Nicholas Van-Meas – Science MCAS – B.M.C. Durfee High School

Rory Edwards – Math MCAS – Silvia Elementary School

John De Paula Freitas – Math MCAS – Silvia Elementary School

Keira Dudek – Math MCAS – Silvia Elementary School

Wheeler Sokol – Math MCAS – Kuss Middle School

Logan Wordell – Math MCAS – Kuss Middle School

Timothy Archambault – Math MCAS – B.M.C. Durfee High School

Kenneth Lu – Math MCAS – B.M.C. Durfee High School

Rory Edwards – ELA MCAS – Silvia Elementary School

Keira LaFleur – ELA MCAS – Silvia Elementary School
