Fall River roadwork, closures, lead replacement, milling and paving scheduled for the week of November 6th

Officials have released a bulletin to give residents and drivers a heads-up concerning road construction, milling, paving, and lead replacement that is expected to take place in the city this week.

According to Liberty Utilities and Ferreira Construction, the following Fall River streets are expected to have road construction for the week of November 6th. Delays and road closures are expected at these locations.

Please see the following Century Paving work beginning on November 6. Paving should be completed by the end of the week.

Please be advised that lead service replacement will occur on the following roads resulting in potential road closures. (11/6-11/10):

Monday (11/6):
-Columbia St. (7 a.m.)
-Slade St. (7 a.m.)
-Swindells St. (9 a.m.)
-Wilson Rd. (9 a.m.)

Tuesday (11/7):
— Jefferson St. (7 a.m.)
– Lafayette St. (7 a.m.)
-Doherty St. (9 a.m.)
-Read St. (9 a.m.)

Wednesday (11/8):
-Palmer St. (7 a.m.)
-Riverview St. (7 a.m.)
-Manchester St. (8 a.m.)
-Laurel St. (9 a.m.)
-Madison St. (9 a.m.)
-North Main St. (9 a.m.)

Thursday (11/9):
-Brayton Ave. (7 a.m.)
-Jepson St. (7 a.m.)
-County St. (9 a.m.)
-Frost St. (9 a.m.)

Friday (11/10):
-Highland Ave. (7 a.m.)
-Osborn St. (7 a.m.)
– Peckham St. (9 a.m.)
-South Beacon St. (9 a.m.)

Work completion is dependent on many factors including weather. Please be advised that scheduled work will be adjusted accordingly.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes during this time. Detour signs will be in place, and police detail officers will assist in keeping traffic and pedestrians moving and safe.
