Fall River road rage incident leads to drug and firearm charges

An alleged road rage incident on Saturday led to charges in Fall River.

According to police, Patrol Bureau officers responded to a report of a road rage incident near Plymouth Ave and Pleasant Street, where a male allegedly assaulted another individual with a handgun.

While the suspect vehicle had fled the scene upon arrival, officers were able to locate both the vehicle and the operator shortly after.

Following an investigation, officers recovered two improperly stored firearms (a 9mm Taurus and a .380 S&W Bodyguard) as well as approximately 5 lbs of marijuana packaged for distribution.

Charges include Assault and Battery, and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.

25-year-old Jose-Luis Soto-Morales was arrested and his License to Carry and firearms have been seized.
