Fall River restaurant opening soon downtown; here is what to expect
A new Fall River restaurant is gearing up to open soon in the city’s downtown.
According to ownership, Semedo’s Grill will be opening for business at 19 Jeremiah V Sullivan Drive, the former 19 Prime & Tapas location across from Government Center.
“We’re excited to be opening soon—our projected opening date is still being finalized, but we’ll be announcing it shortly.”
Fall River Reporter asked what type of cuisine Semedo’s would feature.
“We’ll be serving a variety of foods, such as Portuguese, Cape Verdean and Brazilian dishes as well as some pastas and American foods… and of course a bar with a lot of delightful drinks.”
Jessica Semedo Martins of Semedo’s Grill will appear in front of the Fall River Licensing Board on May 21st to have the license from the former 19 Prime & Tapas transferred.
19 Prime Tapas opened for business at the former CAV Restaurant at the end of 2019 under co-owners Peter Sousa, Kimberly Arruda, Leonildo Sousa, and Deanna Dicorpo. The restaurant was put up for sale in June of 2023.
