Fall River resident wins $1 million dollar prize in instant win game
A Fall River man became a millionaire back in November.
Maurice Degagne of Fall River is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” instant game.
Degagne chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He is considering purchasing a new home and a new vehicle with his winnings.
His winning ticket was purchased at Fall River Mini Mart, 837 Bay Street in Fall River. The store received a $10,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket.
