Here was one of our stories on Irene for one of her many achievements:
For more then 50 years she has dedicated herself to the Boys and Girls Club in Fall River. For that and more, one of our most selfless residents has been honored with a 2018 Myra Kraft Community MVP Award.
Every day Fall River’s Irene Orlando gives of herself at the club.
In 1981 she even became a member of the Board of Directors to the club where she is now the Chairperson.
Affectionately known as “Auntie”, her volunteer efforts are endless in helping and feeding the children at the club, many of which are children who come from low income families.
Orlando has also organized many events and fundraisers.
Orlando also received $10,000 that will go towards the place that she has loved for so many years.
