Fall River resident organizing candlelight vigil in support of Ukraine
A Fall River resident has organized a candlelight vigil to show solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
Rick Souza says the vigil is set to take place this Sunday at the South Main Street side of Kennedy Park.
“There are no winners in war. Ukraine has had its sovereignty violated. Men, women and child are suffering and will continue to do so because of AN invasion by their neighbor. Join together with your neighbors at Kennedy Park in Fall River, MA to exemplify kindness, coexistence and compassion for our neighbors and those in Ukraine suffering today.”
Attendees are asked to bring a candle with safety in mind and a sign or poster with a message if they would like.
Rick is also looking for people to help spread the word.
The vigil is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
