Fall River Public Schools issues COVID-19 data for week ending January 22nd

Superintendent Matthew Malone’s Administration has issued an updated and detailed report concerning COVID-19 and Fall River Public Schools for the week ending January 22nd.

The data dashboard is as follows:

Total Number of Students (does not include students in out-of-district placements): 10,096

Total Number of Students (HYBRID): 1,481

Total Number of Students (FULL REMOTE): 8,615

Number of New Positive Students with Potential Student Contact (HYBRID): 10

Number of New Positive Students with No Student Contact (FULL REMOTE): 8

Total Number of Students Newly Reported This Week with a Positive COVID-19 Status: 17

Number of Students Currently in Quarantine Due to Exposure at School (HYBRID): 29

Number of Students Currently in Quarantine Due to Non-School Exposure (HYBRID): 37

Number of Students Currently in Quarantine Due to Non-School Exposure (FULL REMOTE): 35

Total Number of Students Currently in Quarantine: 101

Total Number of Employees: 1,976

Number of Employees Newly Reported This Week with a Positive COVID-19 Status: 16

Number of Employees Currently Quarantined Due to Exposure at School: 26

Number of Employees Currently Quarantined Due to Non-School Exposure: 14

Total Number of Employees Currently in Quarantine: 40

Note: Quarantine period is 14 days: quarantined students and staff may appear in more than one week.

As seen Thursday in the Massachusetts COVID-19 report, Fall River’s COVID-19 positivity rate is currently at 13.19% with a spread rate of 143.2 per 100,000.
