Fall River Public Schools issues COVID-19 data for week ending December 18th

Superintendent Matthew Malone has issued an updated and detailed report concerning COVID-19 and Fall River Public Schools for the week ending December 18th.

The data dashboard is as follows:

Total Number of Students (does not include students in out-of-district placements): 10,096

Total Number of Students (HYBRID): 1,481

Total Number of Students (FULL REMOTE): 8,615

Number of New Positive Students with Potential Student Contact (HYBRID): 7

Number of New Positive Students with No Student Contact (FULL REMOTE): 9

Total Number of Students Newly Reported This Week with a Positive COVID-19 Status: 16

Number of Students Currently in Quarantine Due to Exposure at School (HYBRID): 53

Number of Students Currently in Quarantine Due to Non-School Exposure (HYBRID): 51

Number of Students Currently in Quarantine Due to Non-School Exposure (FULL REMOTE): 29

Total Number of Students Currently in Quarantine: 133

Total Number of Employees: 1,976

Number of Employees Newly Reported This Week with a Positive COVID-19 Status: 14

Number of Employees Currently Quarantined Due to Exposure at School: 13

Number of Employees Currently Quarantined Due to Non-School Exposure: 24

Total Number of Employees Currently in Quarantine: 50

Note: Quarantine period is 14 days: quarantined students and staff may appear in more than one week.

As seen yesterday in the Massachusetts report, Fall River’s COVID-19 positivity rate is currently at 13.07% with a spread rate of 109.2 per 100,000.
