Fall River Public Library hosting Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration

A family friendly event is coming to Fall River in the coming days.

Families are invited to join the Fall River Public Library for a Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration, Saturday, March 1 at 11:00 a.m. in the library’s Meeting Room. A storytime, craft and the Cat in the Hat himself will all be part of the morning’s festivities.

The program will begin with a lively reading of Seuss’s 1960 classic, Green Eggs and Ham and will be followed by children creating an easy-to-make Cat in the Hat wreath. Families will also have their opportunity to have their pictures taken with Dr. Seuss’s best beloved character, The Cat in the Hat himself- standing a full 7 feet tall!

Throughout the day, children ages 12 and under can sign up to win a Dr. Seuss gift basket, filled with books, a Cat in the Hat stuffie and other surprises!
