Fall River, Mass. – The Fall River Pride Committee is proud to announce an exciting slate of events to celebrate and uplift the LGBTQIA+ community throughout the months of May and June. From dazzling drag performances to a citywide festival and a prom night to remember, the committee invites the South Coast community to join in the fun, solidarity, and celebration.

“Pride is about building community for those of us who are different.”, says the committee’s president Sean Connell. ‘Families come in all shapes and sizes, and we are here to support the idea that love is love. We celebrate and recognize that diversity creates a more robust society where we can ensure all people feel accepted, welcomed, and safe. There are more than two genders, and gender diverse youth and adults have always existed. Pride month gives us all an opportunity to learn that our differences are not wrong, but a part of natural human variation. We look forward to our upcoming events and welcome respectful discussion on the best ways forward to ensure Fall River remains a wonderful place for everyone to thrive and flourish.”
