Fall River pool getting upgrades and improvements, here are the details and how it will impact roadway, sidewalk next week
You may have been wondering about the construction taking place at a Fall River pool. We have the answer.
According to the Press Secretary for Department of Conservation & Recreation, Brenna Galvin, on Monday, May 13, 2024, and Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., DCR will close the right lane and sidewalk along Eastern Avenue to accommodate construction work at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Swimming Pool and Spray Deck.
Traffic patterns will be clearly marked, and a work crew will be on site.
We asked Galvin what exactly was taking place at the site, and she stated that the scope of the work includes improvements to the existing spray deck including size increase, new rubber surfacing, fencing/circulation upgrades, and sitework.
So, while the pool construction may be a minor inconvenience in the short term, those who frequent the pool in the hot and humid summer months will reap the benefits.
