Fall River pool closed due to glass found
The Veterans Memorial Pool has been closed due to glass.
The Department of Conservation and Recreation announced that they are closing Veterans Memorial Swimming Pool in Fall River due to the need to drain and refill water within the community pool to remove broken glass fragments.
The process will take approximately four to five days to complete; however, the adjoining spray deck facility will remain open for visitors to utilize. Additionally, visitors of the pool are reminded that glass containers are not allowed within the facility.
The agency hopes to have the pool open by this upcoming weekend.
In related news, the Freetown Pool was packed to capacity as of early this afternoon.
