Fall River Police respond to report of possible armed robbery
A man was sent to the hospital Friday after a reported incident in Fall River.
According to Detective Moses Pereira, just before 6:30 p.m., the Fall River Police Department responded to the area of 1403 Pleasant Street regarding a report of a possible armed robbery.
Upon arrival, officers located a 44-year-old male on the ground suffering from minor injuries. Witnesses reported that the man had been assaulted and the individuals responsible had fled the area. The victim was uncooperative with investigators and declined to provide any details regarding the assault.
He was transported to Charlton Memorial Hospital for medical evaluation.
The matter remains under investigation by Officer Lindsey Santos of the Uniform Division.
