A Fall River police officer was injured this morning in a crash in the south end of the city.

According to Captain Barden Castro, at approximately 9:07 a.m., Fall River Police Officers were dispatched to a residence in the city to assist the Fall River Fire Department with a medical emergency which was reported to be someone not breathing. While travelling to the scene of the medical call, one of the police cruisers was involved in a crash at the intersection of Slade and Bay Street.
