A Fall River police officer saved the day for a Massachusetts family after concern spread for a missing Massachusetts woman.

73-year-old Maria Scorpio had been reported missing Wednesday, last seen leaving her home in Uxbridge at 10:30 a.m.

A family member had stated that her vehicle pinged in Tiverton around 3:00 p.m.

On Thursday morning, Uxbridge Police confirmed that Scorpio and the vehicle she was reportedly driving had been located and that she was safe.

According to a social media post by the Fall River Police Department, Officer Robson Pires located Scorpio in the area of Father Devalles Boulevard.

Pires became an FRPD officer in 2023.
