The Fall River Police Department is accepting applications for the next volunteer Auxiliary Police Officer training class scheduled to commence in June.
Eligibility requirements are U.S.A. citizens age 18 to 65, residents of Fall River, Freetown, Somerset, Swansea, and Westport only, no criminal felony record, current Massachusetts driver’s license, excellent health and physical fitness, good moral character, high school graduate or general education equivalency certificate, successfully complete a thorough background investigation and interview board. Weekend availability is imperative and a minimum of 4 volunteer hours per week including a monthly meeting and training class is mandatory. Candidates must successfully complete the Auxiliary Police Officer Basic Training Program for recruits.
