Fall River Police issue updates on alleged Kennedy Park assault of autistic person, Brayton Avenue crash that killed pet dog

Fall River Reporter asked the Fall River Police Department for updates on two separate high-profile cases.

According to Deputy Chief Barden Castro, regarding the Brayton Avenue crash from Sunday that killed a pet dog, the Motor Vehicle Enforcement Unit has not yet completed its accident reconstruction.  As a result, the investigation remains open and active.

With respect to the alleged Kennedy Park assault involving an autistic person on Thursday, 31-year-old Bedline Belrice has been identified as the suspect and was summonsed Tuesday to court for arraignment on August 5th.

Castro states that due to Belrice being summonsed to court rather than physically arrested and booked, the Fall River Police Department does not have a booking photograph on file.
