Fall River Police investigating stabbing near city package store

A man was injured after a reported stabbing in Fall River on Saturday night.

According to scanner transmissions, just before 9:30 p.m. a call came in for a man stabbed in the side of his chest near Leonard’s Package Store at 1331 Pleasant Street.

The victim was reportedly alert and conscious before being transported to a local trauma center.

The incident is under investigation.
