Fall River Police investigating shooting after multiple shell casings, knife recovered

The Fall River Police Department is investigating after a city shooting on Friday night.

According to Sergeant Ross Aubin, Patrol Bureau Officers responded to a call for service regarding a reported shooting on the 100 block of Covel Street.

Call notes showed that a witness reported hearing four gunshots. Upon speaking to several witnesses on scene, no one saw the actual altercation.

Upon arrival, officers conducted a search of the area and recovered four shell casings and a knife near the intersection of Haffards Street and Donnelly Street. A thorough canvass was conducted to locate any potential victims or involved parties; however, no individuals were found at the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing.
