Fall River Police investigating robbery after store clerk threatened with knife
Fall River Police are investigating a reported robbery that took place Tuesday evening at a city convenience store.
According to Detective Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 7:00 p.m., units responded to Step-by-Step Convenience at 437 Stafford Road in response to a report of a robbery at this location.
Upon arrival, the clerk advised officers that a male wearing dark clothing entered the store, took multiple items, and left without paying for them. The clerk attempted to follow the perpetrator and demand payment for these items. Upon doing so, the male brandished a knife in the direction of the clerk. The male later fled the area on foot.
This matter is under investigation by Det. Joseph Boyajian of the Major Crimes Division.
