Fall River Police investigating incident where woman was reportedly robbed at knifepoint
Police are investigating an incident from Thursday night where a woman was reportedly robbed at knifepoint.
According to Lieutenant Jay Huard, at 10:05 p.m., officers were dispatched to 220 Johnson Street, in the area of building 57.
Upon arrival, a 34-year-old female victim reported to officers that she pulled up in a vehicle in front of the building and a male suspect approached the auto and brandished a knife, demanding her money. The victim stated that he pulled her from the car and a brief struggle occurred. The suspect reportedly forcefully stole her pocketbook that contained an amount of money.
The victim had minor injuries that consisted of abrasions and bruising.
Huard stated that the victim said that the suspect is described as a white male, 5’7″ tall, medium build, with no facial hair.
The investigation is being followed up by Major Crimes Division detectives.
