Fall River Police issue update on Friday night shooting leaving one injured
Fall River Police are investigating a Friday night shooting in the city.
A call came into the Fall River Police Department just before 8:45 p.m. for shots fired in the 200 block of Lawrence Street.
According to Lieutenant Jay Huard, officers and Major Crime Division Detectives were on the scene where a male victim was shot in the groin area and was transferred to Rhode Island Hospital with possible life-threatening injuries.
Approximately 10 rounds were reported fired from a vehicle which left the scene.
As of 1:00 Saturday afternoon, according to Huard, the victim has been upgraded to stable condition.
The investigation is still ongoing.
