Fall River Police investigating early morning shooting after possible victim arrives at hospital
Fall River Police are investigating what appears to be a city shooting.
According to scanner transmissions, at just before 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, multiple calls came in for up to 15 possible shots fired in the area of Fifth Street.
Officers reportedly responded to the area including the vicinity of the bus terminal and exit 12 off of I-195 looking for evidence.
While officers began their investigation, a call came into dispatch stating that a male arrived at a Fall River hospital claiming he was shot. He was later transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
Scanner transmissions revealed that shell casings were discovered at least in the area of the exit 12 offramp.
This is a developing story.
