Fall River Police investigating afternoon shooting, officers locate shell casings
Police are investigating an afternoon shooting Thursday in Fall River.
According to Det. Sergeant Matthew Mendes, at approximately 5:20 p.m., Officers responded to the 700 block of North Main Street after multiple calls were received reporting gun shots being heard in the area.
Upon arrival, officers located spent shell casings in the area and a short time later it was reported that officers had a male in custody, of whom they found in possession of a firearm.
The investigation is still active, and no victims have been located at this time.
