Fall River Police investigating afternoon roving shootout across from city park
Fall River Police are investigating a Tuesday afternoon shooting that took place on the side of a city park.
According to Captain Jay Huard, Uniform Officers, MCD detectives, and the Gang Unit are currently investigating a roving shootout which occurred in the area of Fifth and Wade Streets between the occupants of 2 vehicles.
The shooting involved one car with an armed occupant shooting at another car who was unarmed.
The call came in at approximately 2:45 p.m.
Officers have recovered casings and it is an active investigation.
Witnesses stated that some of the casings could also be seen across from Griffin Park.
Huard stated that it does not appear that anyone was hit at this time.
