Fall River Police investigating after wrong-way crash with injuries; driver allegedly flees into McDonald’s parking lot
Fall River Police responded to a collision Thursday where one of the drivers fled the scene.
According to Lieutenant Matthew Mendes, at 9:15 p.m., members of the Patrol Bureau responded to the intersection Brayton Ave and Stevens Street for a reported motor vehicle crash.
While officers were enroute, additional call information was received indicating that the driver of one of the vehicles had fled the scene and ran into the nearby McDonald’s parking lot.
Upon arrival, officers determined that a Chevrolet pickup had crossed into the oncoming traffic lane and collided head-on with a Honda Civic that was stopped at the traffic light.
The passenger of the Chevrolet was later transported to a nearby medical facility with minor injuries, while no injuries were reported by the occupants of the Civic.
The incident remains under investigation.
