Fall River Police investigating after victim reports being jumped, cut

Fall River Police are investigating after the report Wednesday of a violent incident.

According to Lieutenant Matthew Mendes, members of the Patrol Bureau responded to the area of Russell and Stevens Street at just after 4:45 a.m. for a reported possible stabbing.

The victim reported that a few males jumped out of a motor vehicle at which time the victim reported being assaulted. The victim also reported that the males cut him, which resulted in a non-life-threating wound.

The incident is still being actively investigated.
