Fall River Police investigating after two injured in fatal afternoon shooting
Fall River Police are investigating a fatal shooting where two people were injured Saturday.
A call came in just after 5:15 p.m. for a man on the ground shot in the 300 block of Bank Street. Multiple calls came in for shots fired at the time the man was seen on the ground in addition to a vehicle reportedly hit by gunfire.
According to Gregg Miliote of the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, when first responders arrived on scene, they located a 44-year-old Fall River man on the porch suffering from a gunshot wound. He was determined by responding EMS personnel to have no viable signs of life and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Units remain on scene as detectives assigned to the Major Crimes Division and the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit continue the investigation.
