Fall River Police investigating after multiple shots fired near city park

Fall River Police are investigating after several shots were fired on Saturday night.

According to scanner transmissions, a call came into dispatch at approximately 10:15 p.m. for 7-8 shots fired in the area of County Street.

Acting Chief J.T. Hoar stated that officers responded to the area of Lafayette Park.

Shell casings were recovered on the side of the park on Mason Street.

No victims from the gun fire were identified.

The Major Crimes Division is continuing the investigation.
