Fall River Police investigating after man critically injured in shooting behind Stop & Shop

Crews in Fall River responded to a scene Friday evening after a man was shot behind a supermarket.

According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 7:40 p.m., the Department received a call reporting the sound of multiple gunshots on the 100 block of Lonsdale Street.

Upon arrival, Officers located a single victim, a 34-year-old male, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local trauma center for immediate medical care. He is currently listed in critical condition.

Officers and Detectives are currently on scene.

At least a half dozen evidence cones could be seen at the shooting location.

This is a developing story.

    Mayor Coogan assured us the streets were safer because of the gun buy back. As more and more criminals are rereleased by bleeding heart liberal judges and DAs and let go with slaps on the wrists to reoffend, Mass pols are actively and aggressively trying to strip law abiding Massachusetts citizens of their right to keep and bear arms. The same politicians are protected by the exact same guns they are trying to strip away from you and I.
