Fall River Police investigating after hit-and-run crash sends 17-year-old to the hospital
Fall River Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that injured a teen.
According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, on Wednesday, at approximately 8:30 p.m., units were dispatched to the intersection of Aetna Street and Stafford Road for a hit-and-run accident.
Upon arrival, it was determined that a Black SUV had been turning North onto Stafford Road from Aetna Street when it struck a scooter which was traveling South on Stafford Road. The operator of the SUV fled the scene following the collision.
The vehicle is described as a black four door pickup truck.
The operator of the scooter, a 17-year-old male, was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
