Fall River Police investigating after armed robbery at city convenience store

Fall River Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Thursday night at a city convenience store.

According to Sergeant Moses Pereira, just after 9:30 p.m., officers responded to the Farm Market, located at 233 Durfee Street in response to a reported armed robbery.

Upon arrival, officers learned that a masked individual entered the business, pointed a firearm in the direction of the clerk, and demanded that he produce the money from the cash register.

The clerk complied with the demands and the suspect immediately fled the store in an unknown direction. The store clerk was not injured during the incident.

The case is being investigated by members of the Major Crimes Division. Anyone with information, is asked to contact the Major Crimes Division at 508-324-2796. Anonymous tips can be provided by dialing 508-672-TIPS (8477).

    Why no story about another FRPD officer being arrested (Foxwoods)? It’s becoming a weekly occurrence.

      We ran into many of the same issues WPRI 12 did. Police or the courts do not want to release details.
