Fall River Police investigate after driver claims other vehicle fired gun in reported road rage incident

Fall River Police investigated a possible road rage incident on Tuesday evening.

Just after 6:30 p.m., an officer called into dispatch stating that they were flagged down by a vehicle where the driver stated that a red F-150 shot at their vehicle and fled the scene.

The truck was reportedly traveling east on Brayton Avenue and the alleged shooting took place in the area of Brayton Avenue and Rodman Street.

According to Sergeant Ross Aubin, there was a report of an apparent road rage incident involving a possible firearm.

At the direction of the victim/witness, officers searched for the other involved vehicle. While searching for the other vehicle to no avail, the complainant also left the area.

Officers were unable to locate any evidence of a shooting or additional information to aid in the investigation.

A report was generated to document the interaction. 

No injuries were reported.
