Fall River police give update on Rodman Street death investigation

Fall River Police released a statement this afternoon concerning the rumors circulating on Facebook about bodies found on Rodman Street this morning.

“There have been reports circulating on Facebook that multiple bodies were found on Rodman Street earlier today. The Fall River Police would like to clear the rumors and report that police were called to 903 Rodman Street this morning at approximately 10:00AM. Police were investigating the welfare of a tenant who was discovered deceased. Foul play was not a factor in this incident and it was treated as a suspected overdose. The investigation is ongoing with Detectives from the Major Crimes Division and State Police Detective Unit. We are aware that photographs were taken of the Medical Examiners office removing the deceased from the building and posted on Facebook. We would ask that individuals who are posting these images please have respect for the family of the deceased and refrain from doing so. The response from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is protocol during an unattended death investigation.”
