Fall River Police, Fire, and EMS respond to multi-vehicle crash with injuries involving stacked vehicles

Fall River Police, Fire, and EMS responded to a multi-vehicle crash on Sunday morning.

According to scanner transmissions, a call came into dispatch for a motor vehicle crash with injuries on the corner of Highland Park on Robeson Street.

Upon arrival, crews located two vehicles with one on top off the other.

Two medical rescues were called to the scene.

The area was shut down for an extended period.

According to the Fall River Fire Department Rescue 1, apparatus was used to secure the cars. which allowed members to stand on the roof of the lower car to use the jaws of life to extricate the driver of the top car.

National Grid was called to the scene concerning a damaged utility pole.

The extent of the injuries was not immediately available.
