Fall River Police, EMS, respond to weekend afternoon stabbing

Fall River personnel responded to a stabbing on Sunday afternoon.

According to scanner transmissions, just before 3:45 p.m., a call came into dispatch for a male bleeding from a stabbing in the 300 block of North Main Street near Cherry Street.

Fall River Police stated that members of the Patrol Bureau arrived on scene and located the male victim who was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation by the Major Case Division.
